The CRS is a points model used to rank Express Entry profiles based on factors like age, education (ECA), language results, skilled work experience, and adaptability. Higher scores improve your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Express Entry manages three programs: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Generally, you need valid language test results, an Educational Credential Assessment (if educated outside Canada), and recent skilled work experience (NOC TEER 0–3), plus medical/security admissibility.
A job offer isn’t mandatory, but a valid offer (and in some cases LMIA) can add points to your CRS and improve your chances of receiving an ITA.
