How it works
1
Assess sub-route

Choose the correct GBM category (e.g., Senior/Specialist, UK Expansion) and ensure sponsor licence coverage.

2
CoS & application

Sponsor issues CoS; applicant submits online form, pays fees/IHS, and gives biometrics (or uses the app).

3
Enter & comply

On approval, start only permitted activities; track route-specific time limits and conditions.

Work rights & Family
Work rights
  • Work only in the sponsored role/activities for the GBM sub-route
  • Supplementary work rules are limited — check sub-route policy
  • GBM time generally does not count toward ILR
